The Walker Academy is a comprehensive program committed to providing equitable career training and development opportunities for individuals aged 16 to 24, especially those who are low-income or at-risk youth. Upon completion, students receive certifications that are recognized by industry leaders, enhancing their employability and job readiness.

Our program is committed to serving all individuals regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or any other characteristic protected by law. We focus particularly on supporting low-income, at-risk youth, and young adults.

The Walker Academy aim to empower youth through education, career development, and mentorship. By providing structured programs and opportunities, we aim to decrease teen pregnancy and reduce crime rates in the community, fostering a safer and more successful future for our young adults.

The Walker Academy Career Center is designed to equip youth aged 16 to 24 with essential workforce readiness skills across various fields, including Culinary Arts, Graphic Design, Real Estate exam prep, Certified Nursing Assistant, Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), Cosmetology, Nail Technician, Aesthetician  & Barber Stylist, Dental Assistant and helps prepare individuals ages 16 or older to take the GED test and obtain a high school equivalency diploma. This comprehensive approach ensures that participants receive guidance and support tailored to their career interests and developmental needs.
